The Prayer Shawl Ministry celebrated their 6th Anniversary!
 
If you have given or received a shawl and would like to come and meet us you are welcome to attend. If you would like to give a shawl to someone stop by the office and    request one anytime. Our group prays every week for those who receive these shawls. We are always looking for new members so just stop by the Room 116 at 2:00 pm to join.
 
Many lives have been touched by this compassionate ministry. We have made 675 shawls, and have given out approximately 525 of them in nearly ten years years.  Prayer shawls have been given to landslide victims in Washington, victims of the school shooting in Roseburg, California wildfires, patients in cancer treatment,Veterans hospitals and assisted living, as well as friends and families of parishioners. We have also made baby blankets, hats and sweaters for the Traveling Crib and for the Canby Pregnancy Resource Center.  Our shawls have been sent all over the USA, to Mexico, Kenya and Japan. Our pocket prayer Shawls have even been taken by pilgrims walking the Camino path.

We knit or crochet prayer shawls which are prayed over and blessed. They are given to people who are experiencing a loss, illness or needing comfort. You can pick up a prayer shawl at the parish office.  
 
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets weekly on Tuesdays at 2:00 pm in Room 116.  The ladies are happy to teach you to knit or crochet if necessary and have supplies available.  No registration necessary.  Please come join this "tight knit" group!
